*This is a privately owned sim, open for RP in the Anita-Verse. Please respect that by following our RP guidelines and rules when on the sim. We value deep immersion and emphasize a constant role-play environment focused on such.
*This is an adult themed sim! There is violence, nudity, sexual situations, and rape. If you are against any of those things, Elysium Cove is probably not for you. This does not mean you will be forced to do any of those things, but they will be part of the world here.

OOC Rules:
- DRAMA
Drama is defined thus : a composition in verse or prose intended to portray life or character or to tell a story usually involving conflicts and emotions through action and dialog and typically designed for theatrical performance.
This is the only Drama we allow here. (IE, keep it IC ONLY)
2 - HARASSMENT
Do not create an unpleasant or hostile OOC situation for other players through constant aggression, uninvited verbal conduct, or unwelcome advances.
3 - CHILD PLAY / CHILDREN AVATARS / PEDOPHILIA
This is an adult sim, all players and avatars must be adult. There are no height restrictions, but all avis must be fully formed adults, and act like it. We will not play games with Linden Labs ToS, especially on this topic.
5 - VEHICLES
At this time Elysium Cove does not Rent out vehicle Passes, nore do we allow the owning of Vehicles. This may change in the future. Please watch the news.
6 - ALTS
Unless you are part of the administration of the sim, you are permitted only two characters total. Due to the ToS, there is no way to verify that you do not have more than these two, so we are on the honor system here.
Administration may have more than these two, but only for instances of storytelling. The others in administration will know of the storyteller characters to prevent confusion.
7 - SCRIPTS
There is a script checker in the landing zone. Please keep scripts under 60 if possible. If you need help with this, just ask in group, someone will show you how to remove them from hair and clothes. No bling please.
8 - APPLICATIONS
For now, Elysium Cove is by invitation/application only.
IC Rules:
1 - Be Polite & Show Respect.
This cannot be stated sternly enough. A character does not have to be nice, or show any respect, as long as you are ready for the IC consequences of your actions. Out of character, however, is different. Keep an open mind towards your fellow players, and don't be rude.
2 - Follow the RP.
If the RP puts you in a bad situation, go with it. You can speak to someone out of character about fixing it, but we prefer you to RP your way out of the bad situation. When it is time for moderation, the RP WILL be followed. Limits will be considered, of course, but if you smacked a soldier in the mouth and have the limit 'no violence' you're in for some trouble. See Limits for more on that. This is the In Character Actions, equals, In Character Consequences rule!
3 - Read and Respect Limits.
Limits will be listed in a character's profile, and should be considered when roleplaying. Such limits must be clearly notated, and fit with the concept of the sim. There is nudity, violence, death, sex and rape here. So please keep that in mind when making your Limit list.
4 - Stay In Character (IC) at all times while in RP zones.
Do not use OOC in local chat while in RP areas, unless it is to be polite - IE, (BRB). If you really need to go OOC, go to IM or the group chat. Our local chat should be clean so that people may immerse themselves into their RP. This also pertains to gestures/sounds. These are strictly prohibited in role-play areas.
5 - No Metagaming.
Metagaming is using OOC information in character. Reading someone's profile and using the info there in character, for instance, is not allowed. Reading their name over their head and suddenly knowing them is also verboten. Using something someone else told you in an IM isn't following the RP. If you wish to know something about a person before getting the RP of it, drop them an IM. Want to have a background tie with Susie Homemaker? Ask her, don't assume.
This rules does NOT include reading the Elysium Cove pick in someone's profile.
6 - No Godmodding.
Godmodding is emoting a response or action from another person, or doing something to them without giving them a way to respond or react to it. "You shiver when I touch you," and "I grab you and toss you across my knee" are both examples of Godmodding, and can be readily ignored by other players. Try instead, "I try to touch you gently on the arm, hoping for some reaction from you," and "I reach for your arm, trying to grab you so that I can throw you across my knee if successful!" This gives the other player a chance to indeed react to your touch if they don't yank their arm away in disgust, or to nut shot you for trying to spank them.
On that same note, never assume someone will react in a certain way just because you think they should. Always give others the chance to react in their own way, and don’t get upset if the reaction is not what you expected.
7 - Alternative Solution to Killing.
Please find some other recourse with your enemy than killing them. Death is permanent, no ghosts, so please do not rob someone of the character they created without exhausting your other options.
8 - Reasonable Right to Life (RRTL).
In the event that your character for some reason or another does something so inexplicably horrible, such as, but not limited to, raising an undead hoard to destroy the town. Your characters Reasonable Right to Life, is going to get suspended. RRTL Rulings are always done by administration, and done so by public warrant of execution. This means that Rule Number Seven will not be enforced if and when the particular character is captured or in a combat situation.
